Calling all Twilight fans! It's almost time for book number 4 "Breaking Dawn"! How are you going to celebrate? My sister and I usually go to the midnight unveiling of new books and then try to stay up all night reading. Heaven forbid anyone finish it before we do! What a nightmare to have it spoiled before we get to the end! To all of you who have not given in to the guilty pleasure known as the "Twilight" series by Stephenie Meyer may I recommend it.

Pure Breath Mints

My new favorite thing is Pure breath mints. I found them at Target and the handy little tin has a mirror inside for touch ups. It is small enough to slip into the tiniest of bags! Love it! The ones you buy at Target are black but if you go to
http://sugardaisy.stores.yahoo.net/mirrormints.html
you can buy all kinds of cute little tins.

Memories.....

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

So happy!

Casey and I were married on June 20th in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a gorgeous day and everything went perfectly. I had so many helpers and a ton of support and as a result I had my dream wedding! Thank you to all who helped! I love you all! Here are some pics from the big day!

Yummy Banana Bread.

Those of you who know me know I hate bananas with a passion...However I love banana bread and I found a yummy recipe that Casey and I adore.

Ready

  • ¼ pound (1 stick) butter, unsalted and at room temperature
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup organic Sucanat sugar, or brown sugar of choice ( I use brown sugar)
  • 1 ½ cups organic unbleached flour( I use regular bleached flour and it works fine)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup mashed banana, super ripe
  • 1 teaspoon Tahitian vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sour cream (SECRET INGREDIENT)

Set

  • Electric mixer
  • Sieve
  • Spatula
  • 9x5x3 bread loaf pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Cooling rack
  • Preheat oven to 350°F

Go

  1. Sieve together the flour, salt and baking soda then set aside.
  2. Cream the butter in the mixer.
  3. Once the butter is fluffy, add the sugar and blend the mixture well.
  4. Then, add each egg, blending in between.
  5. Mix in one third of the dry ingredients and then one third of the banana.
  6. Repeat twice.
  7. Add the vanilla extract.
  8. Blend in the sour cream.
  9. Turn the batter into the loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Let batter stand for 15 minutes.
  10. Bake for 1 hour. To test if it is done, insert a knife and if it comes out clean, its ready.
  11. Turn the finished loaf on to a cooling rack.
  12. Serve when you can’t stand to wait any longer!
